Ravelin is pioneering the use of machine learning in the prevention of e-commerce fraud and has been very successful in the four years we have been in operation. Companies all over the world are accepting more transactions with fewer chargebacks thanks to our machine learning-based approach to fraud prevention.


Ravelin is looking for a core member of our Engineering team to mature our infrastructure and help our development as we scale up and out. This is a challenging environment, where everyone works together to maintain fast turnarounds and high quality. We’re a lean and experienced team, running some of the most interesting tech in Europe today - we make good use of Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes, and we are almost exclusively a Golang shop.


  • Coding and/or scripting
  • Process re-engineering

  • Help run and scale the DevOps and production engineering environments to meet the needs of both product development and live deployments
  • Liaise with engineering teams and management to help plan the DevOps road-map
  • Research and evaluate new technologies (or innovative ways of using existing technologies)
  • Proactively monitor and manage the resilience of the production infrastructure
  • Help to monitor, plan and execute upcoming and ad-hoc changes to the security road-map, reacting quickly to new vulnerabilities and risks
  • Promote and nurture the role of DevOps in a tech company environment


  • Professional experience with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience and real passion for spreading Linux (in particular Ubuntu) knowledge
  • Expertise in Puppet / Chef / Ansible / Salt
  • Writing automation tools (ideally in Python and Golang)
  • Infrastructure automation using Terraform
  • Infrastructure management with Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of server and network security

Experience writing automation tools in Python / Golang
Experience handling ISO 27001 certification, audits, penetration tests, intrusion detection systems, and every PCI level
Experience migrating to Terraform ( understanding that AWS/GCP API is still an old friend)
Passion for spreading Linux (in particular Ubuntu) knowledge
Understanding of the merits and disadvantages of Postgres, HBase, Cassandra & Redis
